Welcome to MY MEDS Page explaining
my "home-bound" circumstances, so we can better work together.
This page is designed to, in as few words as possible, explain my medical situation, so you can plan to work with me here in my apartment studio. After a fall recently, I entered the hospital on April 2, for repair. My fall occurred during a self-cathetering process I conduct at 6:30 in the morning and another one, 12 hours away, at 6:30 in the evening each day. The reason for self-cathetering is to ensure urine flow out of my bladder due to an oversized prostrate develop over the years.
After visiting a unit of Chester County Urology in April of last year and enduring two important processes, UroDynamics and Camera Insertion, it was concluded that I have a "flabby" bladder, and that I would have to accept a form of catheterization. I chose self cathetering, and with my daughter, Beth, procuring all the supplies, after I went through self-cathetering instruction, and began my daily routine which continues today.
Everything went fine, until I slipped off my chair, tried to recover my balance and ended up falling to the floor. I was conveyed via ambulance to Chester County Hospital, part of Penn Medicine.
Once under medical treatment, a number of other situations and conditions revealed themselves, and to avoid future complications, I had shunts installed in my heart, which pretty much rendered me home bound for at least the immediate future. I am fine now and just recovering. Today is April 5, 2025.
I also am being treated to a left foot situation due to diabetes. Through Rothman, I was diagnosed with a food condition which limits my movements. This occurred six years ago, and it was treated further while in the hospital recently. All these combined have grounded me for a while. There is a plan to get me going again after a period of recovery; training; and rest. I am now back at my Galax Bay desk and cranking out art again, not to mention adding to my 179 ebooks on Kindle. (see my ebooks page for details on that).
This is all, and I am back writing and arting, and hope you visit, and we get something going for both of us. All excited about Hollywood USA, a fun idea!
